Roman is a 3 year old who has been fighting a battle, from an unknown cause, his whole life. He was diagnosed with Hypotonia (low muscle tone) at his first well baby check up. Hypotoina is not a diagnosis it is a symptom to a disease. We have been in a constant battle trying to figure out what is causing his symptoms since he was born.
Hypotonia is not the only thing Roman is dealing with Roman also battles with:
Expressive speech delay
Delayed milestones
Arachnoid cyst
Mild inferior vermian hypoplasia (part of his brain is smaller than it should be)
Transient alteration of awareness
Spells of decreased attentiveness
Balance issues
Muscle Tics
As you can imagine we have been to a lot of doctors and thankfully have a wonderful team of therapists that have really made is so Roman is improving.
Roman has been to more than 200 doctors/therapist appointments in his short life time with many more to come. As a result his medical bills are become more than we can handle and we are holding this benefit to hopefully raise some funds to help lower our costs.
Thankfully we have a lot of amazing friends that have made our journey easier along the way.
